Matschulat is the platform for experimental activities of Berlin based producer, composer & mixing and mastering engineer Adam Matschulat Aguiar from São Paulo - Brazil. His music has strong conceptual references to the Theatre of the Absurd and his dramatic narrative investigates cognitive behavior towards listening and perceiving sound. Matschulat is the founder of a small digital label called 'resterecords', which is also home to the Brasilian project 'Godasadog'.

"Gelb" was recorded in South Brazil, in Rio Grande do Sul. The recordings took place in "Vale do Sol" (translates to Sun Valley), a small village where all of its habitants are German decedents and where German is still the predominant language of the people. The suggestive narrative places the listener surrounded with the natural sound objects of its location. Amongst them Church Bells, Roosters, Birds, etc.. The recordings are manipulated suggesting the interference of Man in nature and proposes the struggle between natural perception against one of digital embellishment and perfectionism.
