Damballah (Guayaquil, Ecuador)

The project it´s based on the creation of prolonged sound compositions, as atmospheres that form abstract landscapes related to Afro-Caribbean ceremonies, rituals and ancestral invocations. The process starts from the experimentation with recordings of environments, spaces and artifacts of primitive percussion allusive to these practices, understanding the musical composition from a place outside the traditional musical notation and more from the complexity of these sound environments.
