Dixie Treichel is a composer, sound artist, theatrical sound designer, experimental instrument maker and radio broadcaster from Minneapolis, MN, USA. She is a sonic explorer who likes creating with any and all sounds. Dixie works with artists in multidisciplinary fields, performs experimental music, creates audio documentaries, field recordings, experimental electro-acoustic music, acousmatic, sound art and radio art. Her compositions and sound art have been heard internationally on radio, in art galleries, experimental sound art festivals, new music concerts, theaters and streaming festivals.
